Yup. Solstice is a well known parts bin car:
Airbag, steering column along with the infamous ignition switch came from a Chevy Cobalt / Pontiac G5
Fog light/turn signals came from a Pontiac Grand Prix
Door Handles came from the Chevy HHR
Door Mirrors from a Fiat Barchetta
Seat rails came from an Opel Corsa
Reverse lamps came from a GMC Envoy
Engine shared with the Chevy Malibu/Cobalt but with a 91 tuning
Rear differential came from a Cadillac CTS
Transmission came from a Hummer H3 / Chevy Colorado / GMC Canyon
Chassis tunnel design is a shortened Y-Body
Wheel knuckles came from a Chevy Malibu, last time when I was changing the front wheel bearing, my mechanic pointed out the FWD mounting on it, on a RWD car
That’s why I have zero concerns about mechanical longevity, I have a good bounty of substitution parts (worst case I’ll drop an LS in it, lol). Only bit I’m concerned are body panels and the already extinct soft-top parts.

It’s odd because everything else you mentioned are GM companies, so why go with FIAT side mirrors of all things, haha!

Maybe because GM was in a partnership with Fiat back then?
Let’s not forget the Alfa Romeo 159 and Brera are actually riding a GM platform that GM never used, lol.

I did not know that!

Also the amazing High-Feature 3.2 V6

Arguably GM had their own 3.2L variant too in the Antara.
